Project
Accoya Color Gray with step
Remove interlocking stones
After the client became aware of Accoya, we were allowed to implement the planning and execution of the new seat.
Two variants were discussed.
1. Leaving the interlocking stones with a ventilation of only 40mm under the substructure.
2. The removal of the interlocking stones including the sand layer with a ventilation of 160mm
Variant 2 was implemented because the 80mm thick layer of sand gets completely wet after every rain and stores moisture for a long time or can never dry.
The entire old structure was removed until only the concrete slab lying on the slope was visible.
A decoupled Accoya substructure with a construction height of 160mm was laid on top of this.
The existing shaft could be covered invisibly.
The final height of the wooden deck was the same as in variant 1.
